RMC Wizard (Advanced LTE-A FDD Uplink)

To set up a reference measured channel (RMC), for an Advanced LTE-A FDD Uplink carrier, click the Wizard button in the Uplink node to open the UL RMC Wizard.

UL RMC Configuration (UE Tx Test based on 36.521-1)

System Bandwidth

Choice: 1.4MHz(6RB) | 3MHz(15RB) | 5MHz(25RB) | 10MHz(50RB) | 15MHz(75RB) | 20MHz(100RB)

Default: 10MHz(50RB)

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to set the system bandwidth (= Channel Bandwidth) and number of resource blocks for the reference measurement channel.

Modulation

Choice: QPSK | 16QAM

Default: QPSK

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to set the modulation for the reference measurement channel.

For more details, refer to 3GPP TS 36.521-1.

Allocated Resource Blocks

Choice: 1 | 2 | 5 | 6 | 8 | 10 | 15 | 18 | 20 | 24 | 25 | 27 | 30 | 36 | 40 | 48 | 50

Default: 50

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to set the allocated resource blocks for the reference measurement channel.

Couplings: The Choice parameters depend on the System Bandwidth and Modulation.

RB Position

Choice: Lower End | Upper End

Default: Lower End

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to set the resource block (RB) position for the reference measurement channel.

Lower End: PUSCH RBs are placed lower frequency end of system bandwidth.

Upper End: PUSCH RBs are placed upper frequency end of system bandwidth.

Choice: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Where the System Bandwidth = 10MHz (50RB), Modulation = 16QAM and Allocated Resource Blocks = 30 or 36 or 50 case

Choice: 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Where the System Bandwidth = 15MHz (75RB), Modulation = 16QAM and Allocated Resource Blocks = 75 case

Choice: 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Where the System Bandwidth = 20MHz (100RB), Modulation = 16QAM and Allocated Resource Blocks = 75 or 100 case

Choice: 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

For all other cases:

Choice: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Default: 5

Double-click or use the drop-down menu to set the UE Category for the reference measurement channel.

Couplings: Choice parameters depend on System Bandwidth, Modulation and Allocation Resource Blocks.

UE Category 5 case, the parameter ‘Support 64QAM’ is set on. Otherwise off.

DFT-OFDM Symbols per Sub-Frame

Display the DFT-OFDM symbols per sub-frame of UL reference measurement channel based on above RMC configurations. This is a read only parameter.

Modulation

Display the modulation of a UL reference measurement channel based on above RMC configurations. This is a read only parameter.

Target Coding Rate

Display the target coding rate of a UL reference measurement channel based on above RMC configurations. This is a read only parameter.

Payload Size (bits)

Display the payload size of a UL reference measurement channel based on above RMC configurations. This is a read only parameter.

Transport Block CRC (bits)

Display the transport block CRC of a UL reference measurement channel based on above RMC configurations. This is a read only parameter.

Number of Code Blocks per Sub-Frame

Display the number of code blocks per sub-frame of a UL reference measurement channel based on above RMC configurations. This is a read only parameter.

Coded block size including 12bits trellis termination (bits)

Displays the coded block size for the selected FRC Type and Reference Channel “A” value.

Total Number of Bits per Sub-Frame (Bits)

Displays the number of bits per subframe for the selected FRC Type and Reference Channel “A” value.

Total Symbols per Sub-Frame

Display the total symbols per sub-frame of a UL reference measurement channel based on above RMC configurations. This is a read only parameter.

UE Category

Display the UE Category of UL reference measurement channel. This is a read only parameter.
